Since 2007, Six Strings Club has been McLean County’s top destination for live country music, unforgettable performances, and great drinks. Located in the heart of downtown Bloomington, we bring the best of Nashville-style entertainment to Central Illinois—right in your own backyard.
Our stage has hosted future country music superstars like Jason Aldean, Lee Brice, Parmalee, and LoCash—back when they were still on their way to the big time. Today, we continue that tradition by showcasing a mix of national touring acts, regional favorites, and talented local performers.
We’re also the only venue in Bloomington-Normal that offers open mic nights and karaoke on a professional stage with full concert lighting and a dedicated sound crew. The Owner
Brian Dixon first walked through the doors of Six Strings Club in 2010 as part of the security team while studying at Illinois State University. Before long, he was serving drinks behind the bar, and by 2013, he was running the place as general manager. In 2025, Brian took the leap from managing to owning, making his long-standing connection to Six Strings official.
He’s lived all over the country, but Bloomington-Normal is where he planted his roots—and where he’s proud to keep the music playing.
