The present-day country/rock dichotomy of Matthew Ripsch & Elijah Somlock brings forth a contemporary sound whilst influenced by classic country/rock troubadours and trailblazers!
The Bandleaders, Matt and Elijah, grew up in Kendall county, IL and have paved their way into the midwest country/rock music scene. In fall 2024, the duo launched their career opening for Riley Green at the 136th Sandwich Fair where their talents shined bright with their youth. Riplock notably connected the young audience to their fundamental music roots of classic country, rock, & folk.
Matt & Elijah’s influences derive from Alan Jackson, Brooks&Dunn, Zach Top, Brothers Osborne, Red Clay Strays, Tyler Childers, & more. While emanating a familiar sound that any audience recognizes, this modern duo connects to the hearts of emerging music listeners with covers of the newest hits on the country music charts.
